Post-Trip Report: Miranda and Corey’s Jollywood Celebration (November 2023)

Virginia welcomes back Miranda and Corey Benfield to share all the details of their recent 36-hour trip to Walt Disney World.  This magical, but speedy jaunt was planned to celebrate Corey’s new career as a firefighter (his first day on the job was the day after they returned home!).  Luckily, one of the titles Miranda is proud to have is travel planner, so she had all the details covered.  The visit included a stay at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, a very special Jollywood Night, lots of good food and drinks, and tapping into three of the four parks.  Not even a return flight fiasco could dampen the holiday spirits of these two Disney fans!

This week, Virginia is joined by Miranda and Corey Benfield of @bippityboppitybenfields on Instagram.  In celebration of Corey’s passing his training for a career transition to be a firefighter, the couple is planning a quick 36-hour trip down to Walt Disney World for the Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios.  They plan to stay in a villa at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas and will be packing as much fun as they can into this brief jaunt to the most magical place on earth.

On this episode, Virginia and Jon discuss his recent trip to Walt Disney World for the Wine & Dine Weekend with runDisney.  After a bit of a bumpy start involving his Jeep overheating on the way to the airport, a tow truck, and an Uber, Jon participated in The Two Course Challenge (a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon).  It was all well worth it in the end as he managed to set two new personal records (even though that’s never his goal at a runDisney event) and got to enjoy the spectacular holiday decorations that went up overnight in the parks.

On this episode, Virginia sits down with Jon, aka The WDW Runner on Instagram to talk about his upcoming runDisney solo trip for Disney’s Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World.  Jon was taking on the Two Course Challenge which consisted of a 5K, a 10K, and a half marathon.  Jon is a frequent runDisney participant, so he has lots of good tips on preparing for a race and balancing the running with some Disney fun!
